Arts in Curitiba, Brazil

The city of Curitiba, in southern Brazil, is famous nationwide for its cultural events and facilities. There are about two hundreds sites for cultural events throughout the city.

The Oscar Neimeyer art museum and its architecture is one of the main arts center of the city. The Guaíra is one of the largest theaters in Brazil. The Museu Metropolitano de Arte (MuMA), displays a permanent collection, that covers both artists from Paraná as well as other renowned Brazilian plastic artists such as Pancetti, Di Cavalcanti, Portinari and Mário Cravo.

Ópera de Arame, a theater built entirely of metallic structures and glass. It is an architectural mark in the city.
